OUR PURPOSE AT PLANCRAFT

Building the backbone of European trades – together, with modern software and smart AI solutions.
We don’t just develop software – we’re on a mission to give tradespeople and contractors more room to focus on what matters. We do this by providing a practical SaaS solution that works the way they do: fast, efficient, and without unnecessary administrative overhead. Supported by smart AI features exactly where they make a real difference in everyday work.
Backed by Tier 1 investors from Europe and the US such as Headline and Creandum, and with more than 30,000 craftspeople as our customer base, we are scaling across Europe to turn individual, scattered businesses into connected and successful communities.
We believe in zero admin, not zero personality – and we build every feature with the people wearing safety boots in mind, not suits. We’re excited to shape the future together as a team, staying grounded in our mission to empower the builders and makers of tomorrow.

YOUR MISSION AT PLANCRAFT

As a Senior Global People Partner, you are the strategic operator building and scaling plancraft’s international People Operations & Partnering setup. You enable compliant, smart, and scalable people practices that allow us to grow with consistency and operational excellence across our international locations.

With plancraft currently operating across multiple European countries and employing around 15 internationally-based employees today across the Netherlands, Spain, France, Austria, Italy and Poland — expected to grow to ~30 by the end of the year — this role is pivotal in building the foundations, governance structures, and operational routines that enable sustainable, compliant international growth while maintaining a strong employee experience.

You own the full international People Ops & Partnering agenda across all non-Germany locations. This means combining strategy, systems building, operational ownership, and stakeholder partnering in one role: shaping how we approach international People Ops as we scale, building the frameworks and standards that make it work, running the day-to-day international lifecycle reliably, and acting as a trusted sparring partner to local country leads and managers.

Today, we are still running international operations via EOR across all countries. From Q4 onwards, we plan to gradually move into local entity setups, and this role will be central in owning and driving that transition from the P&O side — both strategically and operationally.

You will work closely with key counterparts across the company — especially with:
  • our Senior People Partner for Germany as your counterpart for close sparring and alignment across one coherent People Ops & Partnering model
  • our Senior Global Talent Acquisition Manager, who is focused on international hiring and will be your key partner on hiring-to-onboarding interfaces
  • and stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Expansion, and local country leads for preparing entity transitions and supporting the day-to-day.

This is a role with high autonomy, strong strategic impact, and broad visibility across one of plancraft’s most important strategic focus areas.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Build of the International Setup

  • Drive strategy and execution of EOR-to-entity transition workstreams, including planning, stakeholder coordination, employee communication, documentation, provider management, and operational rollout readiness.
  • Build and continuously improve international people policies, workflows, playbooks, and operational standards with clear “global vs. local” principles and scalable compliance logic.
  • Shape and operationalize scalable approaches for international total rewards & working guidelines with consideration for fairness, local market realities, and organizational consistency.

Systems, Standards & Scalable Operations

  • Translate recurring operational challenges and stakeholder friction into improved systems, documentation, workflows, and scalable operational processes.
  • Establish operational excellence through clear ownership structures, lifecycle standards, transparent tracking, and reliable execution across all international people processes.
  • Explore practical, AI-enabled workflows and automation opportunities to reduce manual workload and increase operational scalability.

End-to-End International People Operations Ownership

  • Own the full international People Ops & Partnering lifecycle across all international employment locations and ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality day-to-day execution
  • Partner closely with Finance, Legal, payroll providers and external advisors to ensure compliant and efficient international operations across countries.

Partnering with Local Leaders & Stakeholders

  • Serve as a trusted People Partner to international employees, country leads, and managers.
  • Act as a key sparring partner to local country leads and managers on all P&O matters.
  • Work closely with the Senior People Partner for Germany to align Germany-based setups, processes, workflows, and standards with broader global schemes where relevant.

YOUR PROFILE

Must-Have Skills
  • 4+ years of experience in People Operations and/or People Partnering roles with strong end-to-end ownership in international and fast-changing environments.
  • Proven experience managing or scaling international People Operations within a multi-country European setup, ideally leading or supporting an EOR-to-entity transition from a People Operations side.
  • Strong systems and operational thinking; able to translate ambiguity, organizational complexity, and local requirements into scalable frameworks, workflows, and policies.
  • High ownership, strong attention to detail, and a structured, solution-oriented working style with reliable follow-through.
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnering capabilities; comfortable advising managers and country leads on operational and people-related topics.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution in a scaling environment.
  • Comfortable and curios using AI / tooling to reduce manual workload and proactively improving repetitive work through tooling, process design, and smart automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1/C2 level); additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment with international org structures.
  • Located within Germany or at one of our international office hubs in Amsterdam, Vienna, Madrid or Milan and with willingness to come to our Hamburg HQs minimum once per quarter.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience designing and/or operationalizing international benefits and total rewards structures.
  • People Operations experience in our current employment countries
  • Experience working with Personio, Oyster, Notion and Slack.

Who this Role is for
You are motivated by building the operational and strategic P&O foundations that enable international growth at scale, and by creating people processes that are compliant, scalable, and genuinely supportive for both employees and the business.
You are someone who:
  • thinks in scalable systems, operating models, and “global vs. local” principles rather than isolated cases
  • enjoys bringing structure and clarity to complex environments
  • combines operational precision and compliance awareness with pragmatic, business-oriented execution
  • builds trusted relationships with stakeholders while maintaining strong ownership and execution standards
  • is comfortable balancing strategy and process thinking with hands-on execution
  • proactively identifies opportunities to improve workflows, reduce friction, and increase scalability through smarter processes and tooling
  • thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving structures, high trust, and high responsibility

  • International Environment: We’re becoming more international every month, with team members already in Italy, France, Spain the Netherlands, and Austria — which is why English is our internal company language.
